If you want to have streak free baseboards and do not use a spray gun then this is how it is done. This assumes that the baseboards are not attached to the wall yet.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Flat surface to put the baseboards on
  • Paint
  • Rollers - for smooth surface, wider than the baseboard
  1. Step 1

Place baseboard on top of a flat surface. Make sure you protect the area around for paint stains

  2. Step 2

If your baseboards are smooth all over then use a smooth roller. If your baseboards have grooves then use a roller for rough surfaces

  3. Step 3

User roller to paint the baseboard. Paint atleast twice and always finish up with on roll over the whole baseboard to avoid droplets to form.

  4. Step 4

Make sure baseboards dries before nailing the baseboards to the wall.

Tips & Warnings
  • Place 4-5 baseboards next to each other for easy access and to save time
  • Use indoor latex paint for fast drying
  • Behr paint is thick and dries fast
  • Clean your equipment after you are done
  • Make sure to protect the area around your paint setup as paints are sometimes very difficult to remove
