Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • book, high heel shoes
  1. Step 1

    Place book on top of your head.

  2. Step 2

    Start your stride by placing one leg in front of the other and be sure to keep your head elevated with an elongated neck.

  3. Step 3

    Move your arms in the opposite stride of your legs.

  4. Step 4

    Place one leg in front of the other and walk across to the other end of the room. Walk back and forth with the book on your head.

  5. Step 5

    Focus straight ahead. Use your peripheral vision to see around you.

  6. Step 6

    Cop an attitude! And-a-graceful you shall be!

Tips & Warnings
  • Keep a straight back.
  • Keep your neck elongated.
  • Practice! Practice! Practice!
  • Practice makes perfect.
  • If you twist your ankel, stop!
  • If you break a heel, stop!

on 4/22/2007 Don't try to walk with too much attitude, especially if your heels are not very stable. I can't count how many times I've seen people trip when they're trying to walk in high heels, and the embarrassment is worsened when you act like you're stomping the runway.

on 12/10/2006 Remember to walk heel-toe with every step. Although placing your whole foot on the ground initially with each stride is easier for those not practised with walking in heels, it appears awkward and definitely not elegant.
