Santa can tell who has been naughty or nice, but no one really knows if they are getting a trick or a treat at Halloween. Bring trick or treating indoors; just add a gross factor and start an eeewwwy goooeeyyy tradition.
Glue, black florist spray paint, foam paint brush, glitter
Step1
Prep the pumpkins by cutting a perimeter around the pumpkin stem to open it up. Then clean out the inside. Go with an even number of pumpkins (6 works well).
Step2
Gather a foam paint brush, black florist spray paint, glue and black glitter to decorate the pumpkins.
Step3
Spread newspaper or butcher paper to protect the surface you are working on.
Step4
Spray pumpkins and lids with black paint until completely covered. Let dry.
Step5
Use the foam paint brush to cover the pumpkin and lid with glue, then sprinkle with glitter until the whole thing glimmers. Let dry.
Step6
Fill 3 of the pumpkins with treats and 3 of them with tricks. Here are some ideas for both: •Treats: Popcorn balls, candy, toys, money, etc. •Tricks: Slime, plastic mushy rats, faux eyeballs (boiled eggs, olives, etc.), mud, etc.
Step7
Blindfold each guest and lead them to the table where you have the pumpkins laid out. Let them choose which pumpkin they want to stick their hand into by feeling the outside only Once they’ve selected one, then they stick their hand in and see what they get!
Tips & Warnings
Line up the kids in a room other then where the pumpkins are so they can’t see the reaction of the kids who are sticking their hands in the pumpkins.
Create an area in the same room as the pumpkins for the kids who have already participated to hang out. This way they aren’t going back and spoiling all the fun for the kids still waiting in line.
