A muzzle is a good way to keep your dog from licking wounds, or to keep your dog from biting you in an emergency when he is frightened and in pain.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • tie or piece of pantyhose
  1. Step 1

Have someone hold your pet's neck skin behind and just below the ears. This will stabilize the dog's head so that he is less likely to bite while you apply the muzzle.

  2. Step 2

Loop a necktie or a length of pantyhose and slip it around your pet's mouth.

  3. Step 3

Tighten the knot and loop the ends down under the chin.

  4. Step 4

Make another knot and draw the ends back over the neck and tie a final knot or bow behind the ears.
