Travelling to the Netherlands? Most people speak English quite well, but you'll certainly amuse them if you speak a little Dutch!

1. 

   The first thing you'll want to say to someone is 'Hi'. This one is easy.

2. Say 'Hoi' as in 'hoy' that rhymes with boy. Put a little extra emphasis on the Y. Alternatively you can say 'Hallo' for a bit more formality

3. Now how about, 'How's it going?'

4. Say 'Hoe gaat het? Pronounced 'who ggghhaat het'. The 'g' in Dutch is pronounced kind of like the sound you make when clearing your throat.

5. Finally, say goodbye

6. Say, 'Doei!' Pronounced, 'do-we'
