Things You'll Need:
- A used car
- The car's pink slip (title)
- Internet access (available for free at many libraries)
-
Step 1
Make a list of the good and bad things about the car.
-
Step 2
Write a description of your car. Start your description with the main stats about the car like make, model, year, mileage, color, number of doors, and any special features like electric windows, a trailer hitch, etc. Follow that will all the good things about the car, then note any of the bad things like "clutch is broken" or "needs windshield."
-
Step 3
Go to a computer, open up a web browser and go to http://www.craigslist.org.
-
Step 4
On the right are many different locations around the USA. Click the city closest to where you are (you'll likely want to work with local car buyers).
-
Step 5
Look for a category called "For Sale," then click on "cars+trucks." A listing of cars and trucks for sale appears.
-
Step 6
In the upper right corner of the page is a "Post" link. Click that and follow the instructions to post your car for sale.

on 10/22/2008 before start selling, first check for existing posts, you may use tool for Craigslist reading, it will sort all the prices before you start selling. You might want to hold your sale a week or two, because there will not be competition at the time.

on 5/17/2008 This is to SirVertual, ads expire from the site in 7 days. So maybe that's why they keep getting removed because they expire.

on 2/10/2008 My car ads are continually flagged (and removed) without explanation...Although, I have posted similar ads in two different areas of my state, the ads removed are the first ad placed (prior to lacing any other ads)...Many other peoples' are also confused as to why their ads are flagged and usually go without any explanation, after reading through posting rules, I still have no idea why my ads are flagged...
