Gateway is a new entrant in the television market. In 2005, Gateway’s Plasma model was one of the top-seller items. Gateway entered the market introducing affordable televisions with competent features and style. It has introduced 30” and 23” LCD (Liquid Crystal Display) TV models. If you want to compare Gateway’s LCD models, it is necessary to do it in terms of features and value for money.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Look for technical specifications of each product. Gateway models are new in the market. They are light weight and thin. The advanced features are quite impressive considering a thriving LCD TV market. The 30” model comes with two component video inputs.

  2. Step 2

Compare durability. LCD TVs have a limited life span. When comparing the 30” with 23” models look for durability. Both appear sturdy and long-lasting.

  3. Step 3

Check the consistency of picture quality and audio options. The 23” model has high brightness with fluorescent backlight. The resolution in high with flicker-free image. The picture quality is enhanced by a non-glare screen. Both models (30” and 23”) have a wide viewing angle.

  4. Step 4

Look for operational convenience. LCD TVs are a great way to plug and play with other home entertainment devices. Gateway models come into this category.

  5. Step 5

Compare portability. LCD TVs are believed to be more portable than Plasma TVs. In addition, since Gateway models are small, they are very portable compared with other brands.

  6. Step 6

Check style. Compare models on your choice of lifestyle. The 30” model looks more stunning in comparison to the 23” one. It has a black Chassis with a gold rim. If your home theatre system is black, then the 30” model will fit into your home’s style.

  7. Step 7

Check out the TV remotes. The 30” model has a very bulky remote. It has reportedly not been appreciated by the online review community. The 23” model has a much better looking remote.
