How to use MSCONFIG

MSCONFIG can be used to help your computer boot faster and crash less. Also to monitor start up programs.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

• Windows XP, 98, me

1. Go to Start>Run

2. Type in msconfig

3. 

   This open Microsoft System Config Utilities, click on the Start Up tab

4. In window 98 and ME,Only starts up you need are:
   
   Scan Registry
   Task Monitor
   Anti Virus
   System Tray
   Load Power Profile
   
   In window XP, you dont need anything in this tab.

5. Uncheck everything else.

6. Now you're good to restart.
