Don't you hate those dreaded fairway bunkers? I mean you probably hit a great feeling drive and it rolls too far and winds up in the bunker. Well no need to worry because hitting out of a fairway bunker is actually pretty easy.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Golf clubs
  • Fairway bunker
  1. Step 1

The first thing your going to do is select 1 or 2 clubs more than you would hit for that yardage depending on your lie.

  2. Step 2

Next you're going to address the ball with a slightly open stance. You only want to dig your feet in about half an inch. If you dig any further you're going to chunk your shot.

  3. Step 3

Open your club face a little bit, this will help you get some loft on the ball.

  4. Step 4

Now swing away like you normally would. But keep in mind if you're a big divot taker, you want to pick the ball off the sand.

  5. Step 5

Watch your ball as it goes straight for the hole!

Tips & Warnings
  • Remember to rake the sand after you're done.
  • I'll repeat this again, DO NOT dig your feet into the bunker. You will chunk your shot.
