Step 1
Remember you can only control how you drive, not others.
-
Step 2
Try to leave 10 minutes sooner than you have in the past.
-
Step 3
Limit your caffeine intake.
-
Step 4
Play relaxing music.
-
Step 5
Do you really need to take that call?
-
Step 6
If someone cuts you off and didn’t force you off the road….forget about it! They didn’t stop you from getting where you need to go. Don’t give them the power to force you to react and cause your blood pressure to sky rocket.
-
Step 7
If someone honks because you pulled in front of them, honk back. You have a horn too.

on 10/3/2008 The music tip is huge. It seems like a small thing, but I know for a fact that what you have on the radio can really influence your mood and demeanor and help dictate how you will react to some moron cutting you off.

on 10/23/2006 Make it a game. Expect to be cut-off. Make bets with your friends about how many times you will be cut-off each time you drive. Make bets about how many times you will be honked at, etc.
