How to Clean a Platinum Diamond Ring

Lotion, soap, and oils can start to take the sparkle our of a diamond ring. These quick and easy steps will keep your platinum diamond ring looking brand new.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

• Corning Ware dish
• Ammonia
• Clean new soft bristle toothbrush

1. 

   Add about two cups of water to a corning ware dish pan and bring to a boil

2. Add two tsp. of ammonia. Bring heat down to a simmer

3. Place ring in simmering water for 10 mintues

4. Remove ring with tongs, and let it cool to the touch

5. Scrub ring with toothbrush and place back in water for 5 more minutes

6. Remove from water and rinse with clean water

Tips & Warnings

• Clean your ring every two months, or more often if you use lots of soaps and lotions
• Only to be used on real diamonds, and platium only
