Get In to Business School

Have you thought about getting an MBA? The whole application process can be rigorous, but once you get through it you will be happy you did!

Difficulty: Challenging
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Money
  • Time
  1. Step 1

First, identify the MBA programs you plan to apply to so you can tailor your application to their admission standards

  2. Step 2

Start studying for and register to take the GMAT, which virtually all MBA programs require for admission. Make sure to register plenty far in advance so you can get your desired date

  3. Step 3

Ask people who are close to you and know you well to write you a letter of recommendation for your application. Most schools require at least 2 letters

  4. Step 4

Contact your undergraduate university to get copies of your offical transcript. You will either need your school or yourself to send them directly

  5. Step 5

Look at the programs you are applying to's essay questions. See if any of them overlap at all so you do not need to write 3-4 questions for each individual school

  6. Step 6

Fill out each school's application. Make sure to note what their process for interviews are so you can be prepared for that

  7. Step 7

Send in your applications and cross your fingers!

Tips & Warnings
  • Make sure to allocate a few months for this process, it is not something that can be done over night
  • Be realistic to where you apply - do not just apply to reach schools if you are realistic about getting your degree
