Best Buy and other stores like Circuit City sell new release CD's for $9.99 every Tuesday. Circuit City often times will take the most anticipated new release and sell it for $8.99. If you are looking to build up your CD collection so you can rip CD's into MP3's for your iPod then it is good to get as many as you can for $9.99.

Your local Sunday newspaper
The Best Buy circular
A list of CD's that you want
Will power not to buy too many CD's each month

Step1

Get a list of all of your favorite artists and have an idea when their new albums are coming out.

Step2

Get the Sunday newspaper in yoru local area each week. Make sure you grab the Best Buy and Circuit City circulars. Browse through them and look for the new release section for music. New releases come out every Tuesday but they are advertised on Sunday.

Step3

Go to Best Buy on Tuesday and pick up the new release CD's you want for $9.99. There is a limit of three (of the same CD) per customer. The price should be good for at least a week sometimes longer.

Step4

Repeat the process each Sunday and Tuesday and you will have a collection of fresh music without draining your pocketbook.

Tips & Warnings

Tuesday is also new release day for DVD's.
CD's priced at $9.99 are hard to resist. You end up buying mmore than you should.
