on 10/1/2008 You have to keep your index finger pointed straight down the lane. Follow through with your hand perpendicular to the lane like in a "karate chop" position. You want to hit the 1 and 2 or 1 and 3 pin (depending if you're right or left-handed) at the same time at a 60 degree angle. I have found 14lb. and heavier to work well because lighter balls have the tendency to bounce off of the pins instead of rolling through them.

on 6/6/2007 I mentally keep my thumb 'aimed' where I want the ball to go. (Of course, I wouldn't exactly call myself the Srike Queen, so I'm not sure if that is good advice...haha.) Great article - thanks!
