How to Make Pomegranate Jelly

Pomegranate jelly is great on sandwiches and toast. You can even modify this recipe to make syrup for pancakes.

Difficulty: Moderately Challenging
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • canning jars
  • 4 c. pomegranate juice to 4 c. sugar
  • 1/4 c. lemon juice
  • 1 package pectin
  • large pot
  • spoon
  1. Step 1

    Put the pomegranate juice into the pot and bring to a boil.

  2. Step 2

    Add lemon juice and return to a boil.

  3. Step 3

    Add pectin. Skim off the suds and add sugar.

  4. Step 4

    Boil 5 - 10 min.

  5. Step 5

    Boil the jars and seals.

  6. Step 6

    Pour mixture into jars about 3/4 full. Seal and allow to cool to room temperature.

Tips & Warnings
  • For syrup, add the sugar BEFORE you add the pectin to the mixture.
