Tips & Warnings
  • Ask for discounts and benefits.
  • Compare the dental plan coverage with your general health plan. Usually, a dental plan offers wider and more specific dental coverage than a general health plan. If this is the case, you may avoid dental coverage in your health plan and get a reduced premium.
  • Buy supplemental insurance if you need it.
  • Consider using the retirement benefit along with the dental coverage.
  • Dental plans for elderly are expensive, especially when they come from quality providers. Be prepared to pay a high premium every month.
