How to Remove Tar from Skin?

Tar can be abundant on certain beaches. There is nothing more frustrating than tracking tar into the house. Tar is a substance that can be sticky and impossible to remove. With a few simple household items and the tar on the skin shall never be a problem again.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  1. Step 1

    Place baby oil on the cotton ball and rub in the effected area. Change out new cotton balls as needed.

  2. Step 2

    Repeat as necessary

  3. Step 3

    Once the tar is removed, place rubbing alcohol on the cotton ball to remove the baby oil from the skin.

Tips & Warnings
  • Do not apply rubbing alcohol to any open wounds.

on 3/28/2009 cooking oil works FABULOUS!!! I used it on the paws of all 3 of my dogs after a trip to the beach.

on 6/19/2007 Apply cooking oil to it. It will disolve the tar and then wipe
it with a paper towel.
