Things You'll Need:
- Clear glass ornament (ball shape) from craft store
- Acrylic paint in your choice of colors
- Ribbon to hang the ornament (your choice how long you want it)
- Paper towels
-
Step 1
Take the ornament out of the box (if it came in one)
-
Step 2
Remove the top metal piece out of the ornament (its the loop that the hook/ribbon goes through).
-
Step 3
Open the acrylic paint, and pour some into the hole at the top of the ornament.
-
Step 4
Turn ornament around in your hand to move the paint around.
-
Step 5
Place it someplace to dry for 15 minutes or so.
-
Step 6
Add additional colors if you'd like, allowing it to dry for about 15 minutes in-between coats. (See Tips)
-
Step 7
When all the colors you want in it have been added, place the ornament, top side up, on top of a paper towel to dry.
-
Step 8
While it is drying, rotate it occasionally to prevent the paint from collecting in one spot and drying.
-
Step 9
When done drying, carefully replace the metal top.
-
Step 10
Loop the ribbon through the metal loop at the top and tie it together in a bow or however you'd like.
-
Step 11
Hang the ornament wherever you'd like (usually on a Christmas tree), but they look good as decorations too.
