    Instructions

    Things You'll Need

    • Paper towels
    • Iron
      • 1

Switch iron to the lowest heat setting and make sure the steam setting is off.

      • 2

Set several sheets of paper toweling (at least two or three) over the top of the wax.

      • 3

Iron the paper towels (just as you would a delicate fabric), gently moving the iron in small side-to-side motions.

      • 4

Replace paper towels as needed until all the wax has transferred from the fabric on which it was spilled.

    Tips & Warnings

    • If you've spilled colored wax, remove the wax from the carpet before you attempt to remove any color stain. Once you've removed the wax, use an oxy-based cleaner (pet and odor stain remover also work well) to remove the color stain. Depending upon the stain, hydrogen peroxide works as well.

    • To ensure your safety as well as the best results, make sure that you use the lowest heat setting on your iron.
