How to Throw a Baby Shower

If you have a friend who is about to have a baby. It is always nice to throw them a baby shower. Here are some useful tips on holding a baby shower:

1. Ask the expectant mother to make a guest list, including contact info for the guests.
2. Contact the guests to let them know the day and time of the baby shower. You can either mail store bought cards, make your own cards, email the guests or send an Evite.
3. Before the event, plan a menu (light appetizers are sufficient), buy decorations, games, prizes, cake.
4. Day of Shower: prepare food, decorate, and clean the party area
5. Once all your guests have arrived, do introductions and start with the first game. After games, serve cake and then start gift unwrapping while people eat.
