  1. Step 1

Register as a bidder on the Web site. Registered bidders will receive a username and password.

  2. Step 2

Search to find items you want to bid on. Enter "beanie baby," "beanie babies," "beanies," "Ty beanie baby" and so on. You'll find different Beanie Babies in each search; it depends on how the seller listed the item.

  3. Step 3

Narrow your search by entering, for example, "beanie baby turkey." In this case, all the Beanies with "turkey" in the descriptive title will come up.

  4. Step 4

Select an item, then enter your username or e-mail address and password.

  5. Step 5

Enter a bid that's within your budget and higher than the current high bid - high bids are displayed along with the description of the item.

  6. Step 6

Click the Submit Bid button to go to the confirmation page.

  7. Step 7

Expect a "current winner" message on your confirmation page and via e-mail. If no one outbids you before the end of the auction, you'll win the auction.

  8. Step 8

Expect an e-mail if you're outbid before the auction ends.

  9. Step 9

Repeat the bidding process to bid higher.

  10. Step 10

Expect an e-mail message from the seller when you win a bid. He or she will arrange for payment and shipping of your Beanie. E-mail the seller first if you're anxious to get started.

Tips & Warnings
  • Before bidding, ask the seller questions about the item, such as how it was stored or cared for and if it has a certificate of authenticity.
  • If you want to cancel a bid, do so on the confirmation page.
  • To make an automatic bid, indicate the highest amount you're willing to pay. The site will place bids for you at the lowest possible price, without exceeding your highest price.
  • Bidding procedures vary slightly from Web site to Web site.
