The wonder of pencils is that they're eraseable - even if those pencil marks are on your walls.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  1. Step 1

Erase pencil marks with a clean, white, art gum eraser.

  2. Step 2

If you don't have an art gum eraser, make a paste with 2 tbsp. baking soda and a bit of water. Rub mixture into the pencil marks with a clean, white, dry cloth.

  3. Step 3

For stubborn stains, rub the area with toothpaste (non-gel) on a clean, white, dry cloth.

on 6/28/2009 I am a wannabe artist and i had draw the beginnings of a mural i was going to be painting but now i am moving. i did not have enough toothpaste and no baking soda. i tried everything under the sun. Scrubbing bubbles actually took it off with no problem, and these were deep dark pencil marks

on 2/9/2009 EUREKA!!!
I used SHOUT but it wasn't taking it completely off so used a steel wool Soap Pad to scrub it off and it came off like melted butter! Use them both together...it worked GREAT for me!

on 8/28/2007 WARNING!!! I tried the baking soda idea and the carpet stain idea and both took the paint right off my wall. I suggest testing these in a non-conspicuous area before going after your living room walls
