This light vinaigrette is perfect for mixed greens or butter lettuce. Store it for four days in the refrigerator.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 1/2 c. sherry vinegar
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/8 tsp. black pepper
  • 1/2 c. extra-virgin olive oil
  • 1 c. pure olive oil
  • 1 shallot, minced
  • Groceries
  • Measuring Cups And Spoons
  • Mixing Bowls
  • Wire Whisks
  • Mixing bowls
  1. Step 1

    Pour the vinegar into a bowl. Add the salt and pepper.

  2. Step 2

    Begin whisking to dissolve the salt, then slowly drizzle in the oils.

  3. Step 3

    Add the shallot and whisk together.

Tips & Warnings
  • Dress the salad just before serving to avoid wilted lettuce.
