on 11/22/2005 You need to master the soul stall. What you do is come up to a ledge or bar, jump and plant your back foot (the one that is always in the back for a grind) in a soul position. What is a soul position? On aggressive skates, you have little things that come out of the boot. That is the soul. Now, when soul stalling, you have to plant your lead foot just like a regular stall(on the gap between the wheels). Once you master that, it's simple! Just go up to a ledge or bar at a moderate speed and then jump in soul position. Lean your weight on your soul foot. It is not easy learning how to grind. So if you don't get it on the first try, just keep practicing.

on 11/22/2005 Try to 360 onto the rail then 720 off of the rail.

on 11/22/2005 Don't stand straight up while grinding. This makes it harder to keep your feet in position and balance. Crouch down, because it helps those problems, and it looks better, too.

on 11/22/2005 Before you get to higher rails make a rail with wood sticking out from underneath the rail, so you can rely on the wood to keep you on the rail.
