Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  1. Step 1

Make sure that, if you are digging native stock, you take a large enough portion of dirt to get enough of the root system to ensure survival.

  2. Step 2

Be sure to carry some towels and plastic to wrap the roots and dirt in during transport.

  3. Step 3

Wet the dirt and towels and keep them damp until potting can be completed. Drying out of the root system almost always insures a shock that the plant won't recover from.

  4. Step 4

Remove a temporary pot or burlap cloth from nursery stock very carefully.
