Look for the Netscape-named colors available for WebTV by typing the color name in lowercase and as a single word with no spaces. For instance, Dark Olive Green is typed in the code tag as "darkolivegreen."

Font styles and effects in the body of the message can't be specified with codes in the mail signature. If you want to change the style or effect of the body text, you'll have to write the body text as HTML, separately from the signature.

WebTV systems support these graphics formats:
GIF ' Both 87a and 89a GIF files, including animated and interlaced GIFs. The file type is .gif. WebTV also supports an extension defined by WebTV to add per color transparency (alpha) information to GIFs to provide smoother blending of images with the background.
JPEG ' Normal and progressive JPEG formats. File types include .jpg and .jpeg.
TIFF-G3 ' WebTV systems support TIFF-G3 Fax format in email.
XBM ' Black and white X-bitmap images. The file type is .xbm.
Macromedia Flash ' All systems support Flash 3 (but not streaming Flash).
PNG ' Portable Network Graphics are supported on server-side.
You cannot change text color, size, font, etc., while chatting on WebTV.
Most sites offering free graphics files do not allow direct linking. When a WebTV user links directly it increases the operator's bandwidth, causing a slowdown of their site and a substantial cost for their system.
Search for graphics sites that allow direct graphic linking.
Seek out a transloader, which allows you to upload files from anywhere on the Internet using WebTV.
