How to Make a Yo-Yo Sleep

This is for those who wish to make their yo-yos sleep or sleep longer!

Things You'll Need

• Yo-yo String
• Yo-yos

1. Make sure there are no knots or tangles in the yo-yo string.

2. Loop the yo-yo around your middle finger, between the second and third joint.

3. Hold the tightly wound yo-yo in your hand. Position the yo-yo so that the section of string that is coming from the yo-yo to your finger is in the front.

4. Curl your hand and arm as if making a muscle.

5. Hold your hand over your shoulder and throw firmly down and out slightly.

6. Aim for a spot a few feet in front of you.

7. Turn your hand over so that it is palm down.

8. Try not to let the yo-yo bounce as it reaches the end of the string. This will minimize the chance of the yo-yo catching and coming back up.

9. Let the yo-yo land gently and "sleep."

10. Return the yo-yo to your hand on the string before it stops spinning by jerking straight up.
