How to Collect Yo-Yos

These classics are almost as fun to collect as they are to perform tricks with.

1. Buy a book on collecting yo-yos. "Lucky's Collectors Guide to 20th Century Yo-Yos" is a start.

2. Go to an online auction such as MSN Auctions or eBay. Look under yoyo, yo yo, yo-yo and the plurals of these spellings. You'll find several hundred yo-yos for sale.

3. Buy as many yo-yos as you can. Now you have a yo-yo collection.

on 11/22/2005 Once your family and friends know you're collecting yo-yos, you're going to get lots for gifts, and you're going to end up with lots of duplicates that they think are rare, but aren't. You might tactfully ask for specific ones or for "gift certificates."
