Here are some fun and easy games to play at a bridal shower. Improvise a bit for a baby shower.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Things You’ll Need:

Bridal Bingo

Step1
Make bingo cards prior to the bridal shower. You can use the bride-to-be's name as the letters across the top if it's not too long.
Step2
Give each guest a bingo card and pencil.
Step3
Have each guest fill in the spaces with what gifts they think the new bride will be getting. Have them cross off the items as the bride-to-be opens her gifts.
Step4
Declare as the winner the first person to cross off an entire horizontal, vertical or diagonal line.

Bride's Recipes

Step1
Purchase a recipe card file box and recipe cards for the bride-to-be.
Step2
Give each guest a recipe card and a pen or pencil.
Step3
Have the guests write down their favorite recipe.
Step4
Declare as the winner the person whose recipe sounds yummiest. You can also name as a winner the person whose recipe card is most artistic.

Tips & Warnings

  • You may want to send blank recipe cards with the shower invitations so the guests can fill them out at their leisure.

on 7/11/2007 Try using a bridal shower mad lib as an icebreaker. It's an activity everyone can get involved in and enjoy. It's easy to play and creates a funny story the bride will enjoy reading for years to come.

on 4/12/2008 Instead of a recipe box, you can also use a recipe album. Recipe albums are great for magazine clippings and printing recipes from the Internet. You can also type and print your own!

on 11/22/2005 For favors: You can buy a heart shape cookie cutter and tie a recipe card to the cookie cutter with nice ribbon. Have a recipe for a Happy Marriage typed on the card.
