Recycle baby food jars to make one-of-a-kind, personalized gifts for any occasion.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • Votive Candles
  • Baby Food Jars
  • Salt
  • Assorted Colors Of Nail Polishes
  • Clear Nail Polishes

Step1
Clean baby food jars and remove the labels.
Step2
Allow the jars to dry completely.
Step3
Assemble salt, clear nail polish and different colors of nail polish.
Step4
Use nail polish to paint the jars any way you like: with trees for Christmas, ghosts for Halloween, and so forth.
Step5
Spread some clear polish on each jar. Put some salt on the clear polish while it's still wet for a glimmering effect when the candle is lit.
Step6
Place a tea candle inside each jar.

on 11/22/2005 Using waterproof glue, glue small figurines, scenery etc of your choice in the baby food jar lid. Let dry. Place water and silver glitter inside the jar up to the rim. Once the lid is dry, place waterproof glue inside the lid and invert it onto the jar. Tighten and let dry. Display.

on 11/22/2005 You can use little pieces of tissue paper and glue them on for designs instead of using nail polish.
