Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Portable MP3 Players
  1. Step 1

Download and install the latest version of AudioCatalyst (available in the accessories section of real.com).

  2. Step 2

Open AudioCatalyst and click the Settings menu option.

  3. Step 3

Select MP3 Playback and be sure the "Location of MP3 player" field contains the path to the program called Xing MP3 player. By default, this should already be active.

  4. Step 4

Check the "Autoplay after grab" box if you want Xing to automatically play your MP3s after AudioCatalyst encodes them from a CD.

  5. Step 5

Target and click the MP3 Player icon in the main AudioCatalyst window next to the CDDB icon. Xing launches, and the Play List Editor window will appear.

  6. Step 6

Browse your hard drive for the MP3s you want to play, and drag them into this window.

  7. Step 7

Hit the play button on Xing's stylish control panel and turn it up!

Tips & Warnings
  • Xing works dandily by itself, whether or not you want to encode with AudioCatalyst at the time. Just start up the player program and drag any MP3 files into the Play List Editor window. Or, click the open-folder icon at the right side of the window and browse the hard drive for your cache of music files.
