on 2/12/2009 Then, there are those of us who don't charge for a reading (like the late great Edgar Cayce). Psychics use their 6th sense, which all of us have. Some of us have just had a lot more practice, but we are open to freely teaching others how to tune in on their own.

on 1/6/2009 Sometimes some friends and go to psychic fairs. What we do, is walk around the room and get a feel for each psychic. Watch them in action. There are lots of phonies out there. Sometimes one of us picks a winner and then we all let that psychic in particular do all of our readings. Other times, there are so many to choose from, we try several, note it for future reference and compare notes. IN all, its all good fun.

on 10/7/2008 I disagree that one should not use the services of a psychic by phone. There are some advantages. Its more anonynmous. You also cut down on the risk of dealing with a fake that is "cold reading" and judges what they say by your appearance, clothes, etc. Some phone psychics will try to keep people on the phone. Yet some in person readers try to drag out the reading as well and use many dishonest tactics. Its unfair to label phone readers as dishonest or someone who wants to drag out your calls simply because they are a phone reader. Many of us are honest. I don't charge an hourly rate because I am very fast and can provide a detailed reading in a few minutes. I am surprised to see such a rude generalization from an Ehow "editor".

on 7/30/2007 I used the services of one of the few legitimate psychics, the late PETER HURKOS. The Dutchman was more
or less bonded through his associattion with the Better
Business Bureau. Something extremely hard to find today.
Contrast this with, for example, the actress Jennifer
Love Hewitt---going to a "party" psychic re: her personal life. She was told to do something OBVIOUS
and it sent her life in a RANDOM direction. Unfortunate-
ly,the rich and famous are special targets for psychic
scams.
What HURKOS did what different. In fact,he even said,
"When you go to a psychic, let THEM tell YOU information!"
