Things You'll Need:
- Tarot Cards
- Internet Access
- Computers
- Tarot Cards Software
-
Step 1
Decide how much you'd like to spend. Prices for tarot decks can range from as little as $10 to as much as several hundred dollars for a limited edition specialty deck.
-
Step 2
Go to a bookstore or alternative spirituality store. You can also visit Web sites such as the one for U.S. Games Systems (usgamesinc.com), one of the largest publishers of tarot decks.
-
Step 3
Choose several decks to consider.
-
Step 4
Try to examine and handle the individual cards of a tarot deck before you buy. Often, stores will have sample decks open for this purpose.
-
Step 5
Test how the cards feel in your hand. Ideally, the cards will fit comfortably so you can shuffle them easily. However, some people prefer oversize cards so they can see the art better. Consider the texture of the cards as well.
-
Step 6
View the art on the cards. The pictures should please and inspire you, not frighten and intimidate you.
