How to Use Your Polished Stones in Jewelry

  • Jewelry Beads
  • Jewelry Findings
  • Jewelry Supplies
  • Glues
  • Jewelry Crafts Subscription
  • Pliers For Jewelry Making
  1. Step 1

    Select stones that match each other as closely as possible for earrings and a necklace set.

  2. Step 2

    Choose the type of earring you wish to wear - post or wire.

  3. Step 3

    Attach the stone to an earring post with a clear-drying glue or epoxy.

  4. Step 4

    Glue a bell cap to the top of your stone, then attach the bell cap to a wire earring.

  5. Step 5

    Add beads to your earrings to make them hang farther down toward your shoulder.

  6. Step 6

    Make a necklace by cutting a length of chain, or purchase a premade necklace.

  7. Step 7

    Attach a clasp to the ends of the chain if you're starting your necklace from scratch.

  8. Step 8

    Use a bell cap or cage attached to the stone to fasten it to the chain.

  9. Step 9

    Attach a stone to a tie clasp, stick pin, key ring or ring using clear-drying glue or epoxy.

Tips & Warnings
  • You can use connecting beads to make a Y necklace.
  • Use a beaded necklace in place of a chain.
  • There are dozens of styles of chains, clasps, bell caps and beads - so mix and match to create your own style of jewelry.
