How to Store Wood Glue

If you love to buy wood glue in gallon jugs, but hate trying to pour out small drops, use this handy bottle creation.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Wood Glues
  • Permanent Markers
  • Water Bottles With Squeeze Caps
  • Permanent markers
  1. Step 1

    Use a plastic water bottle with a squeeze cap.

  2. Step 2

    Soak the bottle's original label in water until you can easily remove it, then let the bottle dry.

  3. Step 3

    Use a small funnel to fill the bottle with glue.

  4. Step 4

    Replace the bottle cap.

  5. Step 5

    Use a permanent marker and label the outside of the bottle "Wood Glue."

Tips & Warnings
  • A squeeze mustard bottle also makes a handy bottle.
  • If you don't have a small funnel, roll up a piece of paper to use like a funnel. Squeeze out excess glue into the plastic bottle and toss the paper in the trash.

on 11/22/2005 Never store the glue in a place where the temperature will go below freezing. It will turn the glue into a gel and make it very hard to deal with.
