How to Create a Stadium Seat From a Sweatshirt

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Old Sweatshirts
  • Old Pillows
  • Sewing Needles
  • Thimbles
  • Threads
  • Scissors
  • Scissors
  • Rubber Bands
  • Rubber Bands
  • Rubber bands
  1. Step 1

    Cut an old pillow in half.

  2. Step 2

    Stuff all the batting into one half of the pillow.

  3. Step 3

    Sew the end shut.

  4. Step 4

    Cut the sleeves off a sweatshirt leaving about 3 inches of sleeve on the shirt.

  5. Step 5

    Place the pillow inside the sweatshirt.

  6. Step 6

    Sew up the ends.

  7. Step 7

    Fold the sleeves inside and sew shut.

Tips & Warnings
  • Save the sweatshirt sleeves for sweatbands in your gardening hat or wrist sweatbands.
  • If you want a larger stadium seat, use a whole pillow, open one end of the casing, stuff another pillow inside and sew the end closed.
  • Instead of sewing the sweatshirt, you can rubber band the corners and sleeves, making little tassels to hold the pillow inside the sweatshirt.
