Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Step1
See "Enjoy a Vacation in Hilton Head," under Related eHows, for general information about the island and an overview of activities that are appropriate for the whole family.
Step2
Enroll your budding Tiger Woods or Andre Agassi in a golf or tennis school to help brush up on his or her skills. If you are staying at a hotel or resort, inquire about onsite tennis or golf programs for kids.
Step3
Find out about other programs for kids. Many resorts have supervised children's programs, and you'll also be able to find rollerblading, sailing, jet-skiiing and kayaking clinics, to name a few.
Step4
Make sure the kids have bikes. This is generally the way kids get around on the island, and a bike can take them to the beach, to the store or to other kid-friendly sites.
Step5
Visit the Coastal Discovery Museum. Kids will learn about the island's history and ecology and can take a class or tour the island.
Step6
Take kids on a nature tour. By boat, they can spot dolphins and sea turtles, watch birds or see the island's historical sites. Kayak tours are especially popular with kids.
Step7
Go to Adventure Cove. Just one of the areas on the island with fun for kids, Adventure Cove offers laser tag, bumper cars, a video arcade, miniature golf courses and a virtual rollercoaster. Harbour Town is another area kids will enjoy.
Step8
Give the kids a little culture. Check out the schedule at the Self Family Arts Center, which presents musical theater events, concerts and art shows.
