Tips & Warnings
"If you dive a lot in volleyball, you should do two things: Buy a thick pair of knee pads and work on your quickness," says Heidger.
Plan on spending anywhere from $8 to $25 depending on the brand.
Asics and Bike are two brands that make several styles of knee pads.
Heidger and his teammate Kevin Wong are the No. 1 ranked U.S. Men's Doubles Team in beach volleyball. They competed together in the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney, Australia.

If you're a serious, competitive volleyball player, you'll need the best of kneepads. Go to a coach or specialty store that can special order them. They will measure you and help you determine what type of material (gel, foam...) is best for you. Another plus is that you can order them in your team's colors for usually no additional cost! -
