If you love fine wine and the beautiful vistas of vineyards, a winery in California may be the perfect location for your wedding nuptials.

    Log onto winecountry.com/eventplanning/weddings.html for general information about the California Wine Country and links to wedding sites and planners.

  2. Step 2

    Visit the area if possible and scout out potential wedding venues. Remember to inquire about special rates for wedding packages.

  3. Step 3

    Select your favorite winery and the specific location for your nuptials. Choices range from gazebos overlooking the vineyards to elegant indoor settings.

  4. Step 4

    Book lodging at the winery for your wedding party and guests. Some wineries allow you to have exclusive use of the property if you book all the rooms.

  5. Step 5

    Work with the winery's wedding coordinator who will assist with all of the details, including custom labels for the wine served at your reception.

  6. Step 6

    Consider wedding favors that tie in with the winery theme. Give wine bottle toppers, wine glasses or even wine if you can afford it.
