Instructions

      Clean the surface carefully to remove all traces of paint, dirt, moisture or other substances.

      Repair any cracks or holes in the concrete with hydraulic cement.

      Seal the concrete with a masonry coating and let it dry completely.

      Apply a coat of primer using a roller or sprayer and let it dry completely.

      Apply additional coats of paint as needed allowing each to dry completely between applications.

Tips & Warnings

  • Select only concrete-safe paints for your project; other types of paints won't adhere to concrete.

  • Allow freshly poured concrete to cure for 90 to 180 days before painting.

    I would recommend using a concrete stain as opposed to any kind of "concrete paint". Follow manufacturers instructions and ensure concrete is totally clean before you begin.
