How to Help a Toddler Make a Holiday Tree Centerpiece

Your little ones will love being able to participate in the events of the season, so help them make pint-sized holiday decorations.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Artificial evergreen tree
  • Tiny ornaments
  • Wrapping Paper
  • Fabric
  1. Step 1

    Get a small live or artificial evergreen tree from a garden or crafts store.

  2. Step 2

    Let your toddler decorate it with tiny ornaments ' these can include store-bought or homemade ornaments, costume jewelry earrings and necklaces, or anything else you like.

  3. Step 3

    Add a star to the top, and wrap the base with wrapping paper or pretty fabric for a skirt.

Tips & Warnings
  • Take photographs of your children's handiwork. This will give you ' and them ' a permanent record of their early artistic efforts.
  • Watch out for small objects that could be choking hazards, and always supervise your children's craftwork.
  • Never let your children use or touch a hot glue gun. Just use it yourself to help them finish their projects.
