Things You'll Need:
- Freebords
- Skateboard Helmets
- Skateboard Pads
- Skateboarding Shoes
-
Step 1
Remember that you must be riding on one edge or the other at all times.
-
Step 2
Ride on a gentle slope or on flat ground with some leftover speed. Ride on your uphill edge.
-
Step 3
Bend your knees, preparing to jump straight up.
-
Step 4
Lean toward your downhill edge and begin carving into a turn.
-
Step 5
Jump up, kicking your back foot forward and your front foot backward, just as you are switching from one edge to the other. As you jump, make sure the kicking action of your feet is enough to quickly spin your board. If you kick as you are shifting edges, the board should spin quite easily.
-
Step 6
Pull your legs up to allow the board time to turn 180 degrees. Since the board is big and heavy, it will spin fairly slowly.
-
Step 7
Land both feet at the same time and keep your weight on the edge you were shifting to.
