A photo collage of the kids for Dad's desk makes a great Father's Day gift and will help Dad feel connected to the family while at the office.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  1. Step 1

Decide if you want the collage to be devoted to the children or if you want it to include other family members or pets.

  2. Step 2

Sort through your family photos. Set aside photos that are clear and focused and that depict the people you want in your collage.

  3. Step 3

Make copies of the photos so that you can still use them in your family photo albums.

  4. Step 4

Purchase a large photo frame. The size will depend on how many photos you have. If you choose something larger than 8 by 10 inches, make sure Dad can find a place to set it or hang it in his office.

  5. Step 5

Open up the frame and remove the backing.

  6. Step 6

Clean the glass in the frame and dry it well.

  7. Step 7

Cut a piece of acid-free paper to fit inside the frame.

  8. Step 8

Begin arranging your photos on the paper.

  9. Step 9

Try layering and angling the photos.

  10. Step 10

Trim some photos down using a sharp pair of scissors. With this method, you can cut out faces or entire people for an exciting design.

  11. Step 11

Attach the photos to the paper using acid-free glue or photo adhesive. Allow the collage to dry before inserting it in the frame.

Tips & Warnings

on 11/22/2005 If there are some pictures you are not willing to cut, use photo corners. They are very useful and do not damage the pictures.
