Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  1. Step 1

Purchase a bulletin board or a very large photo frame.

  2. Step 2

Collect items that have meaning or significance to the graduate. Items such as photos, ticket stubs, programs, receipts, pieces of costumes, tests and other materials that bring back specific memories of school work well.

  3. Step 3

Arrange the items in a creative and artistic way, using layering and different angles. Mix and mingle different kinds of items together, so the board isn't just all photos or all ticket stubs.

  4. Step 4

Attach the items securely to a bulletin board using small thumbtacks, or attach them to a piece of acid-free paper using glue.

  5. Step 5

Leave room for the tassel from the graduate's cap.

  6. Step 6

Surprise the graduate with this wonderful gift of preserved memories.

Tips & Warnings
  • If you are in school, create a memory board for yourself as you go through each year. Add items as they come into your possession. By the time you graduate, you will have an interesting collage.
  • If you are including items that are not flat, use a shadow box instead of a frame. A shadow box is like a deep picture frame, and it provides room for bulkier items.

on 11/22/2005 This is a great gift for a guy who is not very sentimental. He won't appreciate it much now, but will when he has his own family.
