Tips & Warnings
Think creatively about what might serve as a card: two tickets to a special show, concert or ballgame; a CD wrapped in paper; an envelope and stamp for a stamp collector or traveler; a seed packet for a gardener; or a receipt for a charitable donation for the couple who has everything.

I must agree a handwritten note is still the best. In this computer age we still love to think someone thought about us enough to sit down and write a note. -

Scan a group picture of the birthday girl/boy with the gift giver and insert it into a card creator software. Write a personal birthday note inside, date it, and sign. If software is not available for this idea, the group picture can still be photo copied on quality paper (either black and white or colored). Trim off the excess paper around the copied photo. Your birthday message can be written, dated, and signed behind the photo. -

Make sure to include the date on your card/note so that the recipient will be able to look back and remember the special memory.
