Instructions

    • 1

Consider starting your search in the same place you would look for anything else online - at a mainstream Web directory or search engine. Yahoo, for example, has one of the best collections of gay and lesbian links.

    • 2

Take a look at the Queer Resource Directory (QRD.org) if you're looking for historical information or something that isn't very recent. But be aware that this directory is no longer the up-to-date resource it once was.

    • 3

Try PlanetOut's search function (PlanetOut.com). It does a good job of focusing only on the sites most relevant to your search, and it offers a Web directory, too.

    • 4

See what you can find at the almost overwhelming GayScape.com site.

    • 5

Have a look at the gay portal, Queery.com.

Tips & Warnings

  • As always, try to confirm information found on unfamiliar Web sites. You don't know how good the information is unless you know something about who put it up.
