Step1
Think about how important your stepfather has been in your life. He probably has acted like a father to you many times. Consider all the things you have to thank him for and all the time and attention he has given you.
Step2
Find some time to spend with him. You might not have time right on Father's Day, but you could spend time with him before or after the day.
Step3
Give your stepfather a card. You can find Father's Day cards designed specifically for stepfathers.
Step4
Spend some meaningful time with your stepfather. Go with him to a sporting event he enjoys or take him out to lunch. Spend some time talking to him and enjoying his company.
Step5
Buy a gift for your stepfather. Find something personal that will be meaningful to him.
Step6
Use Father's Day as an opportunity to mend fences if you haven't had a good relationship with your stepfather in the past. Send him a card or give him a gift that shows you would like to change your relationship for the better.
Step7
Remember your father on Father's Day, too, and know that your stepfather will understand that you need to spend time with your dad on that day.
