How to Have an Ice Cube Melting Contest

Players see who can melt an ice cube the quickest, and they cool themselves off in the process.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

• Ice Cube Trays
• Plastic Containers
• Plastic Drinking Cups
• Refrigerators
• Beach Towels

1. Make several trays of ice cubes; make sure they're all the same size.

2. Assemble players outside.

3. Give each player an ice cube.

4. Tell the players that the object of the game is to melt an ice cube as quickly as possible.

5. Tell them they can use any method they want - placing it in the sun, putting it in water or holding it in their hands. The only thing they can't do is put the ice cube in their mouths.

6. Watch to see whose ice cube completely melts first. This person is the winner.

Tips & Warnings

• Make larger ice cubes in cups or bowls to make the game last longer.
• Do not allow children to place the ice cubes in their mouths - this could present a choking hazard.
