Play this game outside on a hot day to cool off and entertain the kids.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Step1
Play this game with children ages 6 and up.
Step2
Freeze some large ice cubes, using plastic cups or bowls. Make sure that the ice cubes will be thin enough so that children can get their teeth on part of them.
Step3
Fill a large tub with cold water and place it on a table outside.
Step4
Place the ice cubes in the tub, reserving some to use as replacements.
Step5
Allow one player to go at a time.
Step6
Instruct the player that he or she must capture as many ice cubes as possible one at a time in 1 minute, using only the mouth.
Step7
Announce when the minute is up and let a new player begin.
Step8
Keep track of how many ice cubes each child collects.
Step9
Watch the ice cubes in the tub carefully and replace them with fresh ones when they become small enough to present a choking hazard.
Step10
Declare as the winner the child who has captured the most ice cubes.

  • Adjust the time limit on this game as needed.
  • This game is great for summer birthday parties.
  • Since this game requires that players touch the ice cubes with their mouths, it is recommended that you only play this game with members of your immediate family whom you know to be healthy.
