The key to being a really good pool player is leaving the cue ball set up for the next shot. If you want the cue ball to bounce back toward you after hitting the object ball, you need to hit it to "draw."

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Billiard Lighting
  • Bridges For Pool
  • Cue Stick Chalk
  • Pool Balls
  • Pool Cue Carrying Cases
  • Pool Cues
  • Pool Table Covers
  • Pool Table Horsehair Brushes
  • Pool Tables
  • Pool Triangles
  1. Step 1

Concentrate on the shot at hand. There is no need worrying about your next shot if you don't make this one.

  2. Step 2

Hit the cue ball halfway between dead center and the very bottom.

  3. Step 3

Stroke the ball normally, keeping your cue fairly level.

Tips & Warnings
  • The lower you hit the cue ball, the more it will draw back. However, if you hit too low, the cue ball will bounce into the air.
  • Hitting the cue ball harder will also make it draw more.
  • Practice your draws to get a feel for how it works.

on 6/30/2006 The way I try to get Max draw is to line up dead center, pull back and play down on the follow though. I hope that helps.
